Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team in New Jersey and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and help maintain a clean, organized store.

The role requires strong customer service, communication, and physical stamina to lift 30–50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods. This is a part-time position with flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and other physical tasks.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain store cleanliness and stock merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
