Job summary

Dollar Tree in Milltown, New Jersey is hiring a part-time Customer Service Associate to ensure a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, manage transactions at the register, stock shelves, and help unload trucks while maintaining store cleanliness.

The role emphasizes friendly interactions, accuracy in cash handling, safety, and following store procedures. Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred, and applicants should be able to lift 30–50 lbs as part of duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, and other physical activities.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, and waste removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
