Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and help keep the store stocked and clean.

The role requires reliable customer service, good communication, and the ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs. Part-time schedule with possible shifts in Yorktown Heights, NY.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain store cleanliness, restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, and taking out trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
