Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Customer Service Associate in Lafayette, IN to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, and ensure the store stays stocked and clean.

This role emphasizes friendly service, accuracy at checkout, and safe, respectful interactions with customers and team members. The position is part-time and requires the ability to lift 30–50 lbs, stand for long periods, and follow posted procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned*.
