Job summary

Family Dollar in Stockton, MO is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, stock shelves, unload shipments, and maintain store cleanliness while ensuring a safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.

The role requires strong customer service, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed. Training and growth opportunities are available within the store network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, etc.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and waste disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
