Job summary

Family Dollar in Fresno, California is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a friendly shopping experience. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock shelves, unload trucks, and keep the store clean and presentable while maintaining safety and professional interactions.

The role requires good communication, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior retail or service experience is preferred, with a positive attitude and teamwork as key assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hospitality, grocery, or drug store is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks; stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned
