Responsibilities

• Greets and provides specialized services to customers. Performs transactions quickly, efficiently and professionally.
• Provides layaway services. Explains layaway policies and requirements.
• Provides refunds, merchandise exchanges, and price adjustments, in accordance with NEX policy.
• Takes and places customer special orders, as required.
• Monitors status of rain checks issued to customers.
• Assists customers in opening NEXCARD accounts and handles related questions.
• Becomes knowledgeable in NEX store policies and resolves customer problems.
• Interacts with customers and coworkers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Communicates information to customers knowledgeably and legibly.
• Reviews stock assortments and communicates with supervisor about needs and improvements.
• Performs cash register transactions.
• Shops the competition to stay informed on sales events and policies.
• Advises customers of upcoming sales events and services.
• Maintains high awareness in assigned areas and deter theft.
• Completes paperwork related to merchandise/inventory movement and returns.
• Assists in training new associates.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
