Job summary

Family Dollar in Millen, GA is seeking a Part Time Customer Service Associate to help customers, operate the register, stock shelves, and keep the store neat.

You will assist customers with questions, process sales, unload merchandise, and ensure a safe, friendly environment for customers, associates, and leaders. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred) and prior retail, hospital, or grocery experience; physical lifting of 30–50 lbs is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks including frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable.
