Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a friendly shopping experience and assist customers with questions, returns, and purchases.

You will operate a cash register, stock shelves, unload shipments, maintain store cleanliness, and support safety and security of cash and assets.

We value a high school diploma (or equivalent) and prior retail or service experience; lifting 30–50 lbs and long periods of standing are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail or similar environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and handle standing and walking duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise as needed.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks for stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and colleagues.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms and floors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
