Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate in Lavale, Maryland to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and help keep the store stocked and clean.

You will also unload merchandise, replenish stock, and maintain a safe, friendly environment for customers and fellow employees. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred, with the ability to lift 30–50 lbs working in a dynamic store setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal
• Other duties as assigned
