Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. This role involves assisting customers, processing transactions at the register, and maintaining a clean, stocked store.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and prior customer service experience. The position is part-time and located at 590 N Main Street, Parowan, UT 84761.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks; stock replenishment
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders
• Maintain store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, trash and neat presentation
• Other duties as assigned
