Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate in Magnolia, Arkansas to provide a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock shelves, and help unload merchandise while maintaining store cleanliness and safety.

The role requires basic education and prior customer service in retail or similar settings, with strong communication and organizational skills. Part-time schedule and a welcoming team environment are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neatness.
