Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers, manage transactions at the register, and help keep the store stocked and clean.

The role requires strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills, with physical ability to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for long periods. This is a part-time, store-based position in Maryland.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail or similar environment preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operation manuals or documents required
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required
• Strong organizational and communication skills required
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise
• Assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment according to productivity standards
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash
• Perform other duties as assigned
