Job summary

Family Dollar in Killeen, TX is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to help deliver a friendly shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions at the register, stock shelves, and keep the store clean and organized.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prior customer service experience. You should be able to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for long periods, while maintaining a positive, safe environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, bending, etc.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restock bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, and empty trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
