Job summary

Family Dollar in Willis, TX is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and keep the store clean and stocked. The role emphasizes friendly, safe interactions and adherence to store standards.

The position requires physical ability to lift 30–50 lbs, prior customer service experience, and strong communication and organizational skills. Training is provided and opportunities to grow within a busy retail environment are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
