Job summary

Family Dollar in Clay City, Kentucky is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience for every customer.

You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, restock shelves, receive merchandise and help unload trucks, and keep the store clean and safe. The role requires flexibility and strong communication, with the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. Family Dollar is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks; stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms and floors.
