Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team in Brawley, CA, delivering a friendly, efficient shopping experience for every customer. This part-time role involves assisting customers, processing transactions, stocking merchandise, and maintaining a clean store environment.

You’ll work with a team to ensure safety, security, and great service while adhering to productivity standards. Training and potential benefits are available as part of our inclusive program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and stand/walk for long periods.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and colleagues.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
