Job summary

Family Dollar LLC in Bakersfield is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to assist customers, manage transactions at the register, stock shelves, and keep the store clean and welcoming.

You will help unload merchandise, protect store assets, and maintain a safe, respectful environment while delivering friendly service to shoppers. This role includes part-time scheduling and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and colleagues.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store incl. bathrooms, floors, trash, and presents.
• Other duties as assigned.
