Job summary

FLOWERS.com Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Retail/Customer Service Associate for our Flowerama store in Ankeny, Iowa. The position focuses on delivering friendly, efficient service to customers and supporting daily store operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service or retail experience, be able to type 30 WPM, and be comfortable working a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Pay is based on experience and opportunities for advancement exist within the organization.

Qualifications

• Strong telephone skills and ability to establish rapport with customers.
• Familiarity with florist business helpful but not mandatory.
• Floral design experience helpful but not mandatory
• Ability to work as part of a team while completing tasks in a timely manner
• Typing ability (30 WPM)
• Point of Sales experience is a plus
• Strong communications and strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication ability
• Ability to lift 40lbs unassisted
• Ability to stand up to 8 hours daily, and up to 10 hours seasonally
• Commitment to work a flexible schedule in a fast-paced creative environment. We are open Monday - Friday 7:30am-7pm, Saturday 8am-7pm, and Sunday 10am-4pm. Please note that during busy holiday times, hour of operation will be extended to meet the needs of our customers. Employees are also expected to work extended hours during Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day weeks, including Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day.

Flowerama is looking for looking for hardworking, upbeat, dependable individuals for day, evening, and weekend shifts. Our Florist and Gift store is seeking qualified applicants who have strong customer service and / or retail experience.

Pay is based on experience, and we promote from within our organization as much as possible.
