Job summary

Dollar Tree in Wheeling, IL is seeking a Customer Service Associate to support daily store operations. You will assist customers, handle sales at the register, and help ensure the store is clean, stocked, and safe.

The role requires strong customer service, teamwork, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs while standing for long periods. This is a part-time position with opportunities to engage in various duties across the store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms, floors, trash, and general presentation.
