Job summary

Family Dollar in Walkerville, Michigan is seeking a Customer Service Associate to help shoppers and deliver a friendly, efficient experience at the register and on the floor.

You will assist customers, process sales transactions, stock and receive merchandise, maintain store cleanliness, uphold safety standards, and support leaders with daily tasks.

This part-time role requires good communication, reliability, and the ability to lift moderate weights while staying customer-focused.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must lift 30–50 lbs and be able to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, climb, push, and pull frequently.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Process sales transactions at the register.
• Maintain cash handling security and protect company assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload shipments, stock replenishment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment.
• Follow other duties as assigned.
