Job summary

Family Dollar in Michigan is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to help customers, process transactions, and maintain a welcoming store environment.

You will assist shoppers, manage the cash register, stock shelves, unload trucks, and keep the store clean and presentable, ensuring safety and courtesy at all times.

This role requires good communication, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed, with opportunities for growth in a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• Preferred: experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store customer service.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks; stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store (bathrooms, floors, trash) and keep areas neat.
• Other duties as assigned.
