Job summary

Big Night is hiring a part-time Shop Associate to support Greenpoint, West Village, and UES locations. The role focuses on shopkeeping and sales with growth opportunities based on interest and capability. You’ll help customers, maintain displays, handle inventory, and assist with transfers and events.

You will join a vibrant retail team reporting to the Head of Operations. Prior retail or service experience is a plus, and a positive, inclusive shop environment is a core focus of Big Night.

Qualifications

• Interest in/passion for food, design, cooking, or retail.
• Desire to learn and share deep product knowledge.
• Proactive, calm under pressure in a high-traffic environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn products to share recommendations with customers.
• Keep pantry, fridge and home goods displays organized and attractive.
• Receive inventory, unbox, input into system and label goods.
• Pull and pack inventory for transfers to stores or warehouse.
• Select items for web photoshoots or events.
• Fulfill ship-to-order from the store on duty.
• Follow opening/closing procedures and maintain cleanliness.
