Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team in Liberty, Indiana. You will assist customers with questions and recommendations, manage sales transactions at the register, and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Retail customer service experience preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operating documents
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent movement
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including restrooms, floors, and trash
• Other duties as assigned*
