Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Indiana LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to help create a great shopping experience. You’ll assist customers with questions, process transactions at the cash register, and help keep the store clean, stocked, and secure.

This part-time position emphasizes friendly interactions, reliability, and teamwork. You’ll unload shipments, replenish shelves, and maintain safe, neat environments while delivering consistent service across all store operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Process sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable.
