Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate in Hackettstown, NJ. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, maintain store cleanliness, stock merchandise, and unload deliveries while upholding a positive, safe, and friendly shopping environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior customer service experience, and physical ability to lift 30–50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and manage frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register and ensure cash security.
• Maintain store cleanliness, stock merchandise, and restock bathrooms.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks; stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Create a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and team members.
• Follow company policies and perform other duties as assigned.
