Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Elk Grove, CA is seeking a Part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a friendly shopping experience. You will assist customers, manage transactions at the register, stock and replenish merchandise, and help maintain store cleanliness and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior retail or customer service experience preferred, strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms, floors, and trash areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
