Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC. is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and help keep the store clean, stocked and welcoming.

This part-time position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and prior retail or service industry experience is preferred. You must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks while maintaining professional interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
