Job summary

Family Dollar in Carrabelle, FL is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to help deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions at the register, and help keep the store clean and organized.

This role requires effective communication, reliability, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs as needed. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred, with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks; stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and coworkers.
• Keep the store clean, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall neatness.
