Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Tennessee LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers with questions, process sales transactions at the register, maintain cash security, stock merchandise, unload trucks, and keep the store clean and presentable.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on safety and friendly interactions with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs from floor to above shoulder height and perform frequent walking, standing, kneeling, etc.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
