Job summary

Family Dollar in Fort Davis, TX is seeking a Customer Service Associate to help customers, process sales at the register, stock shelves, and keep the store clean and safe.

The ideal candidate has strong communication and problem-solving skills, can lift 30–50 lbs, and enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment with a friendly team. Responsibilities include assisting customers with questions and recommendations, unloading merchandise, and ensuring accurate cash handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and meet physical demands (standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, etc).
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and associates.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, and waste disposal.
