Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of North Carolina LLC is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. Responsibilities include assisting customers, processing transactions, and maintaining store cleanliness and stock levels.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and experience in customer service. You will handle cash, interact with customers, and support store operations in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must lift 30–50 lbs and be able to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms, floors, and waste disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
