Job summary

ScanScape is seeking a part-time Retail Scan Associate to visit local grocery, convenience, drug, and other stores in the Kansas City, KS area (66112/66109/66102). You will use a mobile app to scan barcodes, collect product data, and ensure accurate weekly data submissions across multiple store types.

The role offers flexible hours with scheduled shifts, paid travel at your hourly rate, and eligibility for a 401(k) with employer matching.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods, while accessing products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations.
• Use a downloadable app on a mobile phone to scan barcodes throughout each store.
• Provide quantity for about 45% of the products scanned.
• Complete Display Scanning across the entire store weekly; can take several hours.
• Meet weekly deadlines and deliver accurate data for clients.
