Job summary

Southern States Cooperative is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to support daily store operations, including cashiering, customer service, stocking, and light housekeeping. You will assist customers, process sales and returns, and help maintain a clean, welcoming environment.

The role emphasizes friendly, professional communication, accuracy in cash handling, and teamwork to ensure a positive customer experience. Prior retail exposure and knowledge of store procedures are valued.

Qualifications

• Prefer high school diploma or GED but not required.
• Prefer 6 months of experience in a retail setting providing excellent customer service.
• Experience in agribusiness or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a welcoming and professional manner.
• Process checkout/exchange/return transactions and handle cash accurately.
• Assist customers in locating items and make product recommendations.
• Answer incoming phone calls with courtesy and provide order/product information.
• Replenish merchandise and maintain neat, stocked shelves.
• Support store safety and handle daily housekeeping tasks.
