Job summary

Southern States Cooperative is seeking a Part-Time Cashier to be the face of our store, providing friendly service while accurately processing purchases, returns, and exchanges.

You'll greet customers, operate cash registers, answer questions, and help maintain a clean, welcoming environment. Flexible availability including some evenings and weekends is preferred; prior retail or customer service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Retail, cashier, or customer service experience preferred.
• Friendly, customer-focused attitude with strong communication skills.
• Ability to learn point-of-sale systems and basic product knowledge.
• Dependable, team-oriented, and able to assist wherever needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible availability, including some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Operating cash registers and processing transactions accurately.
