Job summary

Smart & Final in San Francisco is hiring a Part-time Retail Associate for store 351, SEVENTH AVENUE. You will deliver friendly customer service, stock merchandise, assist customers, and keep the aisles clean.

Starting rate is $19.65 per hour with benefits and community focus. Join a team that supports education and 401(k) programs while working a flexible, part-time schedule in a fast-paced grocery warehouse setting.

Qualifications

• Read written English and follow basic instructions.
• Ability to read product labels, pricing codes and memos.
• Write simple correspondence and communicate with customers.
• Present information clearly in one-on-one or small group settings.
• Understand and follow detailed, simple procedures.
• Able to lift up to 60 pounds with or without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a store section and stock merchandise using appropriate equipment.
• Ensure proper pricing, rotate products, stock displays and cases.
• Prepare perishable products for sale as needed.
• Set up advertising and promotional displays.
• Keep sanitation standards in all store areas and lot as directed.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance and current product information to customers.
• Assist customers to their vehicles when needed.
• Perform basic bookkeeping tasks and record lost/damaged goods.
