Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help drive store operations, customer service and team development in Havelock, NC. You will support opening/closing, merchandising, payroll and loss prevention while leading store associates and ensuring a safe, friendly shopping environment.

This part-time role requires strong communication and organizational skills, with a focus on providing excellent customer experiences and maintaining store standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Assist in organizing merchandise from delivery, stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fronts.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping including payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and secure assets including cash.
• Supervise, train, and develop store associates; ensure a safe, respectful environment.
• Ensure store policies and safety guidelines are followed.
