Job summary

Jacobs Entertainment, Inc. is seeking a part-time Restaurant Server for Gold Dust West Reno. The role involves taking orders, serving guests, and maintaining a welcoming dining atmosphere in a busy gaming property.

You will need strong communication skills, basic computer and cash-handling abilities, and familiarity with the venue’s menus and promotions. Training and growth opportunities are available, along with benefits and employee dining discounts.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge and cash handling skills.
• Knowledge of Infogenesis & Patron systems helpful.
• Identification to establish identity and the right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Familiarity with all menu items, menu prices and hours of operation & promotions.
• Maintain a clean work area, professional appearance, and present positive customer service techniques
• Provide service to guests while dining
• Assist Busser in pre-bussing of tables
• Set up or close of wait station
• Clean stations and tables
• Complete daily side work
• Assist guests with questions regarding activities on the property
• Practice TIPS awareness and the responsible serving of alcohol
