Job summary

Lutheran Services in Iowa (LSI) seeks part-time Respite Providers to offer respite care in the Dubuque and surrounding counties. You will work directly with families, setting your own schedule with some evening and weekend availability. Training is provided and there is potential to work from home after initial trainings.

You will need a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and clean driving record. The role supports families of individuals with disabilities; prior experience is preferred,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
• Some basic computer knowledge and access to internet and a computer required.

Responsibilities

• Provide respite care to give families a break, evenings and weekends may be required.
• Set and manage your own schedule within family needs.
• Communicate consistently with families and maintain records as needed.
