Job summary

Lutheran Services in Iowa (LSI) is seeking part-time Respite Providers to give families a break in the Council Bluffs area. Up to 29 hours per week, flexible scheduling, some evenings and weekends, with opportunities to work from home after training.

You’ll support parents or guardians of individuals with disabilities, document timekeeping, and maintain reliable communication with families. A high school diploma or GED is required; experience with disabilities is preferred; basic computer skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge/skills required; access to computer, tablet, or cellphone for documentation and timekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Provide respite care to give families a break for individuals with disabilities.
• Set and manage your own schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
• Maintain clear communication with families and complete timekeeping/documentation.
