Lutheran Services in Iowa (LSI) is seeking a part-time hourly Caseworker in the Des Moines area to support individuals with disabilities and chronic mental health conditions. The role focuses on learning life skills to promote independence and dignity.

Work is primarily one-on-one, with evenings and after-school opportunities, and potential for more hours. Requires a relevant degree or experience in human services, with a flexible schedule to fit client needs.

Qualifications

• Formal education in human services or related field.
• Related work experience as specified for each educational path.
• Ability to work 1:1 with individuals in the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to individuals to learn independent living skills.
• Assist with money management, socialization, cooking, and personal hygiene.
• Develop and implement Individualized Service Plans reflecting client goals.
• Help clients participate in their community with flexible scheduling.
