Job summary
Pima Community College’s Critical Care and Allied Health Division is seeking part-time adjunct instructors to teach college-level Respiratory Therapy courses for the 2026-2027 academic year and beyond. Instructors will join a pool for future assignments, delivering courses with active learning, online resources, and equitable instruction.
Minimum qualifications include an associate degree, a valid RRT credential, and Arizona state license, with experience in teaching college courses and online
Qualifications
- Experience teaching college-level courses.
- Experience teaching online courses and/or alternative instructional formats.
- Experience using a Learning Management System, preferably D2L Brightspace.
- Ability to adapt instruction to diverse student needs, including accommodations and accessibility.
- Ability to evaluate and document student progress to meet course objectives.
Responsibilities
- Instruct students in Respiratory Therapy and support academic success strategies.
- Follow protocols for attendance, grading, and assessment of student learning.
- Maintain current knowledge in teaching strategies and content delivery.
- Monitor and improve instruction to meet Student Learning Outcomes at course and college levels.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students in a collegial communication style.
