Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Ohio seeks a part-time Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) to provide respiratory care and related diagnostics for acutely and chronically ill patients, within the Ohio Scope of Practice.

You will perform therapeutic procedures, document assessments, assist with airway management, precept new staff and collaborate with physicians and the care team, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 2 or 4 year Respiratory Care Program.
• Ohio Respiratory Care Professional License to practice and NBRC credentials (RRT/CRT).
• Clinical experience in adult and neonatal respiratory therapy procedures.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide Respiratory Care, ensure patient safety, promote evidence-based practice and professionalism.
• Perform duties outside normal routine care of the patient as needed.
• Initiate and administer therapeutic procedures, diagnostic tests and education.
• Record patient assessments and maintain departmental records.
• Precept new employees and participate in student rotations.
• Maintain respiratory therapy equipment and communicate with physicians and care team.
