Indiana Regional Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a part-time, on-site role in Indiana, PA.

You will administer respiratory therapies, monitor patient responses, perform ABG testing, and manage ventilators while collaborating with the care team. The position requires BLS, NBRC RRT credentialing or planned completion within six months, and a strong foundation in critical care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA/JRCRCE accredited school for respiratory care.
• AS or BS in respiratory care.
• 6-12 months experience on this job or related jobs strongly preferred.
• 1 year critical care experience preferred.
• BLS required or obtained within 1 month of hire.
• NBRC credential as RRT required or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments including oxygen, aerosols, chest physiotherapy, and mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor and document patient response; adjust therapies as needed.
• Perform arterial blood gas sampling, analysis, and interpretation.
• Initiate and manage invasive and non-invasive ventilators (BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow).
• Respond to medical emergencies (code blue, rapid response).
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on therapies and equipment use.
• Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of respiratory equipment.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation.
• Adhere to HIPAA, JCAHO and hospital policies.
