Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program.
• AS degree in Respiratory Therapy; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Recent graduate or 2 years of experience in a tertiary hospital.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop care plans with the team.
• Provide direct patient care on shift 100% of the time.
• Delegate tasks to support staff with clear instructions and oversight.
• Participate in bedside rounds and multidisciplinary communications.
• Maintain care standards and adhere to protocols and documentation.
• Demonstrate advanced respiratory procedures including life support and diagnostics.
• Cover multiple inpatient departments as assigned.
• Pursue ongoing education through trainings and conferences.
• Calibrate and maintain respiratory equipment; document outcomes.
