Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program.
• Associate of Science Degree (minimum) or Bachelor's in Respiratory Therapy (preferred).
• Recent graduate or two years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience in a tertiary hospital.
• Registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• Current Respiratory Therapist License in the State of Michigan (or obtained within 90 days of graduation for new graduates).

Responsibilities

• Deliver life-support, resuscitation, and medical gases therapy to critical care patients.
• Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures for Intensive Care and General Practice Units.
• Maintain clinical expertise and support assignments across various business units.
• Communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians, and other system employees.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately and supervise respiratory therapy students and externs.
• Complete necessary and accurate patient billing information.
