This position works directly with residents throughout their day, providing support, maintaining appropriate boundaries, assisting with medications, and helping ensure the residential program runs safely and smoothly.No prior behavioral health experience is required. We are looking for individuals who are dependable, comfortable working with people, able to maintain professional boundaries, and interested in making a positive impact.Schedule – We Can Be Flexible!This is a part-time position working 20–30 hours per week, and we are flexible with how those hours are scheduled.Minimum commitment: 20 hours per weekMaximum schedule: 30 hours per weekSwing shift availability between approximately 1:00 PM–11:00 PMAny days of the week are available, including weekdays and weekendsSchedule options may include:Two 10-hour shifts per weekThree 8-hour shifts per weekOther combinations within the 20–30 hour range based on availabilityWe are happy to work with applicants to find a consistent schedule that works for both the employee and the needs of the program.Because we provide residential treatment, our program operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays.ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day support and supervision for residentsHelp maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic residential environmentMaintain clear and appropriate professional boundaries with residentsAssist with medication administration according to Phoenix policies and proceduresSupport and monitor resident visitationsRespond appropriately to behavioral concerns and reinforce program expectationsComplete required documentation, audits, and shift responsibilitiesHelp maintain facility safety, organization, and cleanlinessCommunicate resident concerns or changes to appropriate clinical, medical, or leadership staffTransport residents to appointments, meetings, or approved activities when neededParticipate in required staff meetings and trainingsFollow Phoenix policies regarding confidentiality, resident safety, and professional conductQualificationsNo prior behavioral health or residential treatment experience requiredMust be dependable and able to consistently arrive on time for scheduled shiftsStrong communication and active listening skillsAbility to communicate calmly, clearly, and professionallyAbility to maintain professional boundaries while remaining supportive and compassionateValid driver's license and ability to transport residents when requiredAbility to administer medications according to established policies and trainingAbility to respond appropriately in stressful or challenging situationsMust successfully complete required background screeningMust be willing to complete required training for the positionWho We Are Looking ForThis can be a great opportunity for someone interested in gaining experience in behavioral health, mental health, substance use treatment, social work, psychology, nursing, or another helping profession.More importantly, we are looking for someone who is reliable, professional, respectful, and comfortable working directly with individuals who may be experiencing challenging moments in their recovery.If you are looking for a part-time position where you can work two or three shifts per week and have some flexibility in which days you work, we encourage you to apply.The Phoenix Recovery Center is an equal opportunity employer.
