Job summary

New Point Life Services is hiring a part-time Residential Support Specialist to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. You will provide individualized, person-centered support and help residents build confidence for independent living.

Role offers flexible shifts with potential for additional hours, paid training, and opportunities for growth. Strong teamwork, compassion, and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
At least 1 year supporting individuals with IDD preferred.
Virginia CNA/NA/PCA certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

Provide individualized support per ISP.
Assist with personal care, hygiene, dressing, and routines.
Support meal prep and healthy living habits.
Light housekeeping, laundry, and home organization.
Transport clients to appointments and activities.
Encourage independence and life skills development.
Administer medications per procedures.
Complete electronic progress notes and documentation.
Observe health or behavior changes and report them.
Maintain a clean, safe home environment.
