Job summary

CAMBA’s Short Term Housing Program (STHP) in Brooklyn seeks a Part-time Residential Aide to support safety, documentation, and client services. The role reports to the Program Manager and is located in Brooklyn, NY.

Responsibilities include daily security rounds, logs, incident reporting, and coordination with supervisors and emergency services. Prioritizes client confidentiality and professional engagement with residents.

Qualifications

• Sufficient education and ability to follow written and oral instructions (work orders).
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with diverse clients and staff.
• Basic math skills for maintenance tasks and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct at least 9 security rounds per shift.
• Complete security and fire logs accurately every day.
• Prepare timely incident reports for events in the facility.
• Submit incident reports for review within 24 hours of occurrence.
• Verify daily staff in/out during shift exchanges.
• Attend quarterly staff meetings and updates.
• Address negative client behavior and report to supervisors.
• Coordinate with NYPD/EMS/FDNY when needed, per policy.
• Maintain client confidentiality and professional relations.
