Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer – Residential Access Monitor in Ruther Glen, VA to protect residents and guests while providing excellent customer service. You will monitor entrances, perform patrols, and respond to incidents, all while upholding Allied Universal values of teamwork and integrity.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Background histories considered per law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the residential location.
• Monitor access points to help control entry and exit of authorized individuals and vehicles.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document and report any unusual observations, incidents, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols.
• Support emergency response activities when appropriate, coordinating with local authorities as needed.
